Just yesterday Apple opened up a new web site dedicated to showcasing web applications made specifically for the iPhone.

Currently their portal is very similar to how their OS X downloads page looks and works. It would be really nice, if they made it more iPhone friendly. There are plenty of other iPhone web app portals out there that can do it, I would expect the same from Apple.

There were a few web applications that Apple had listed that I hadn’t heard of, so it was nice to see some fresh new applications. I just hope they make the portal more iPhone friendly in the near future!

You can visit the web applications portal from any computer or your iPhone and iPod touch.

Cute idea, but it’s easy to find a frequency with nothing in the area you live in. What I’d find useful is a web site that will tell me what frequency to use for a trip I’m taking! Changing frequencies every half hour as I pass in and out of radio station ranges drives me nuts.

    Hey MHA,

Lately we have been getting a lot of people calling in or asking about what radio stations are the best to use around Vermont for their FM Transmitters. I was just thinking in larger cities it might be useful to have a reference of what stations to use, instead of searching through.

I agree, it would be nice to have a general one with no worries while you are traveling. There are some FM transmitters out there that will find the strongest signal for you, so you don’t have to fool around with your radio while you’re driving.

    Have fun on your trip!
