New $999.99 MacBooks Are Here
We are so pleased to announce that the baseline new $999.99 MacBooks have landed in both our South Burlington and Waitsfield locations.
Featuring 2.0GHz processors, 2GB of RAM (Memory), 120GB Hard Drives, SuperDrives (to burn both CDs and DVDs) and AirPort and Bluetooth wireless, they are loaded with features. Plus, they include iLife ’09!
With that said, the now-previous generation baseline MacBooks (2.1GHz/1GB/120/SuperDrive/AP/BT) which were $1099.99 have been reduced to $949.99.
No, that’s not a typo—the processor speed went from 2.1GHz to 2.0GHz; however, for most users, this will not make much of a difference (just make sure you have plenty of RAM). With 2GBs of RAM standard (as opposed to 1GB), that should more than make up for the speed drop!
Wow – are you misguided on this!
Trying to get out employee benefits? Let me ask you, do you pay a single the difference between their coverage and a married persons coverage? If not, why are you paying a married person more?
Obviously you have never talked to middle class canadians who save their money and cross the border to come to the US for treatment.
There is no person in the US who does not have access to healthcare, not one. Anyone in an emergency has access and can’t be turned away.
Let me ask you – why should i as an insurance payer have to pay for the litle brat down the street to get free unlimited healthcare with free office visits when i have to pay $50? why should health insurance pay for birth control for anyone?
No, this government, especially under Comrade Barack is unable to curb their wild spending or actually read the legislation they pass (AIG bonuses), they would screw up healthcare amazingly.
Just because the rest of the world has socialistic healthcare does not mean we should. The majority is not always right.
Unlike jim, I know a fair amount about the current state of our health care system, and it is on the verge of collapse. Whatever plan is chosen, there has to be some sort of mandate, so everyone pays a share based on what they can afford.
The biggest problem with private insurers, besides the huge administrative overhead, is that they cherry pick only people who don’t need health insurance. I take it jim has never been seriously sick with a chronic disease, since if he had been he’d find that his current insurer would raise his rates beyond any reasonable ability to pay. And any new insurer would refuse him coverage based on a pre-existing condition. Single-payer is the best solution.
Second to that would be a base government plan covering everyone with minimum mandated coverage, with private insurance available to those who can afford it. The problem with that is what we see with Medicaid today. Most doctors refuse to see anyone with medicaid, so they are forced to travel large distances and get the minimum of care. So providers need to have some sort of mandate and say in the process.
But hey some people are more focused on their political ideology than what is best for the country.
Thank you Don!!
Well said and I support the concept 100%
