Looking for great Mac OS X shareware applications? As of March 1st, there’s a new site in the Mac community: MacZOT! … and their tagline says it all: “One Great Mac Software. Daily.”

Each day they spotlight one great shareware application and provide the reader with a discount. They’re already off to a good start with a handful of great apps covering everything from productivity to games and system cleanup to web development.

    I’ve faced this problem before, trying to import a big movie from my Canon compact digicam into iPhoto. The only way I got around it was to use the ImageCapture app (which comes free with OSX10.4 and maybe earlier versions too) to import the movie file from my camera.
