Marine scientists use dog to sniff out rare right whales
A Tech Tails reader forwarded me an article from the New England Aquarium’s monthly newsletter on how dogs are now being used to sniff out whale poop before it sinks to the bottom of the ocean because the ‘stuff’ can give scientists a lot of valuable information on right whales.
It’s quite interesting how dogs amazing olfactory ability are being utilized by humans. Click here to read the story as reported by The Canadian Press’s Alison Auld.
Hi,
I had a Macbook & was stolen recently. I installed File Value with same password as administrator account. Can others access my data inside File Vault if they reboot the installation disc and reset the password?
Thanks for you great help.

Yes they would be able to do this. Look up Mac Firmware password, which is included on the OS X install discs, and prevents this very issue.
