**Meet Emily Giddings!**
__Rutland, VT store__

Emily is fairly new to the Rutland store, and started with us early November. She resides in Brandon, Vermont, and went to school at Otter Valley and then UVM.

Not only does Emily work for Small Dog Electronics, but in addition, she works on her family dairy farm in Florence, VT. She is an iOS specialist at the Rutland store, and is eager to help in any way she can.

**Meet Jamie Willis!**
__Rutland, VT store__

Jamie Willis is born and raised in the Rutland area. Community involvement is very important to Jamie, so a job where he can meet new people and get reacquainted with the community was just the job he was looking for — and he found that at Small Dog!

Most of Jamie’s duties are retail and consulting-related but where he excels is in the OS X operating system. If you have any questions about Snow Leopard all the way up to Mavericks, Jamies your guy!

Additionally, Jamie has extensive knowledge on our headphone manufacturers and iOS 7. He teaches the Friday classes on OS 10.9 Mavericks for computers and on iOS 7 for iPhones and iPads.

Spring is almost here! Normally, March is the month where many of us are itching to see some snow melt, or perhaps you’re taking these weeks to grab some final runs up on the slopes. If you’re lucky enough to be our southernmost location, maybe you’re just hoping for another sunny day!

This month at Small Dog, we decided it was time for new changes and excitement, so we are launching “**March Mayhem!**”:http://www.smalldog.com/marchmayhem During the entire month of March, all of our retail locations will be offering weekly specials as well as a “Half Ass Bracket” contest that starts March 17th and runs through March 28th. Even if you don’t care about NCAA/March Madness you’ll want to enter — fill out your final four choices and the winners of the last three games of the playoffs, and you could win a pair of **Beats** headphones and a **Chill Box** speakers! And, as a special bonus to you — our local customers — if you enter in-store, you have a chance to win a **$400 Small Dog gift card!** This contest is available both in our stores and on our website, so if you do both, you’ll have more chances to win!

We’ve had a tradition of rotating issues back and forth between our stores (e.g. sometimes you’d see an issue from our S. Burlington staff, and then the following month would be from Waitsfield), but as our locations have grown, we recognize that our readers are now located all over New England and now Florida. We don’t want readers to have to wait months to hear about what’s happening in their local store, so starting this month, you will see bits of information from all of our retail locations! Each issue will contain a variety of information on anything from store events, staff bio’s, community events, and of course, new products!

It’s a brand new year and a brand new start! I wanted to take this time to reintroduce myself to our readers and customers. I have been around Small Dog for many years now — almost a decade in fact — and in that time, I have had the opportunity to work in several different departments around Small Dog (geez — where has all the time gone?!).

With the start of a new year comes a new role for me; I am proud to be the new leader of our incredible retail and service team at Small Dog. It comes with a lot of responsibility, but more importantly, it now gives me the opportunity to travel to almost all of our retail locations and work with staff and customers alike — something I was not able to do easily in the past. Many leaders speak about how they wish they had more opportunity to get back to their roots and remember how they have grown to the person they have now become, so I am thankful to be able to continue to do the work I’m familiar with in a different capacity.

I know that lots of customers think of Small Dog as the go-to place for everything Apple, but we don’t stop there!
